• Call of Duty Black Ops to be "Unhackable"

Call Of Duty: Black Ops' online director Dan Bunting has said that the exploitation of glitches to boost XP has "diminished the reputation of the franchise in a lot of people's eyes."

Bunting insists, however, that anti-cheating measures in Call Of Duty: Black Ops will be the most strict they have ever been.
“Cheating won't pay. It'll just bring down the ban hammer”

"We have a lot of anti-cheating, anti-boosting stuff going on behind the scenes, so we are monitoring that," Says Bunting. "We're going to have a very heavy hand in the online security of our game."

"We're taking it very seriously. We had an engineer dedicated pretty much from the start of the project to it."

Cheaters won't be able to hack their hardware to get around this either claims Bunting, "If people hack their hardware, we've got the ability to detect that and report them to Sony or Microsoft."

you are retarded! I think if you want to hack or mod you should be able too. As long as your not stealing the game! And i dont think it is unhackable cause i have seen with my own eyes people playing black ops beta with jtags and actually got some gameplay myself(muiltplayer only) so this is a joke someone will hack it and stealth there activity.

Please don't call out other players like that. Let him have his opinion without other people calling him a mental disease. And NO. If the game was meant to be hacked, the staff (AS WELL AS 98% OF THE COD COMMUNITY) would not try to stop it.

see i dont agree. with out the hacks w@w would have never got as popular as it did. and activision will never be ok with someone messing with there work. and as for the cod com. well i think there all just scared of release dates being pushed back due to hacks or being leaked. and i dont belive that there is anywhere near 90% of the cod com. on this fourm. and i never said it was meant to be hacked i said it will be and the should let people.

This argument is ridiculous. Games are not meant to be hacked. The end.

i agree this is a stupid argument, games are not meant to be hacked or exploited, MW2 i quit because of boosting, theres really no point to playing if you have already lost.
only someone who can only win by cheating would be offended by not being able to hack or cheat in some way. get some skill and learn to play, because by the sound of it you have no choice now kid, think about it, you buy the game and play it and get banned, you have spent your money and they dont care, your gone say goodbye.

i really hope that they meant what they said because i was really disappointed with all the cheating going on, made the game terrible to play.

the cheating in MW2 such as the carepackage glitch.. made me so mad all the time. thats the main reason i quit MW2. BO on the other hand so far i havnt seen much cheating. just the golden gun glitch( alot) but that doesnt effect my gameplay so im good with that.
