There's a 'neat' factor in the Semtex sticking to someone, especially if they're capturing a Domination point or if you've come across a camper from the back or flank. Feels like I do better kill-wise with regular hand grenades though.
This is the AK-47 Assault Rifle, the preferred weapon of the enemy and it makes a distinctive sound when fired at you, so remember it!

The thing about camping is that CoD rewards it so much. By waiting like a spider for the first few kills to set up your killstreaks you are rewarded as the streaks rack up kills and lead to more streaks.

Sure running and gunning is effective but it relies more on reaction times, map knowledge and personal skill. Anyone can camp and do fairly well to really well and that's why people will camp. Doesn't matter how much people hate the tactic, it works and when all is said and done what works, well works.

I find TDM the worst for camping and don't see too much of it in objective games although I have no issue with the other team defending their objectives. What gets me is players camping in a building nowhere near the objective and ultimately handicapping their team as it leaves them one short while that person K/D whores.

Point streaking was the single best change to CoD, ive noticed a sharp increase in objective-based play compared to MW2 and BO.

I've found TDM to be the opposite...a lot more run and gun works here, and there are no specific permanent points to defend like in Domination or temporary in Kill Confirmed. Still see a lot of unclaimed tags, mostly red ones that people won't bother to 'rescue.'

I've noticed a bit of annoying camping spots in maps like Arkaden and Seatown where there are some isolated areas that people only use as transition areas and catch them off guard. It's pretty annoying sometimes, especially when other people spawn in on the camper and you just can't seem to get close enough for an accurate nade or to get a few rounds off without being seen by someone. It's better when teammates work in tangent, though. Hopefully more of these people show up in my games.

Ambushing people in such a place is pretty much the point...and if you know where these spots are, you hopefully have figured out how to avoid the beaten zone and flank the shooter.

There always is a lot of camping in Call of Duty games. Just don't play kill based gametypes. There is so much less camping in domination, demolition, sabotage, and etc.
