    Have you wondered?

Mmmkay yeah I was playing Black ops almost out of ammo I had a great idea but then I died so then I dedicated the rest of my gaming time to this little study.. Just how many bullets does it take for a kill? This post I'm doing Assault Rifles,If there is any interest in these I will do Sub-machine guns,Pistols,Snipers and Light machine guns..... Well here's the test results.. Just about every shot was aimed toward the Torso area each gun was tested on Offline Bots on Nuketown... Every gun had ACOG sights.. Welp here they are...
The Galil made in Israel~ 3-4 rounds in the chest-torso area was guaranteed a kill. The rat of fire was perfect IMO..

The Colt Commando made in the USA~ This one was a big surprise to me it took 5-6 rounds in the chest-torso area for a kill.

The M14 based off the Garand series in WW2 made in the USA~ 2 shots is exactly what it took literally EVERYTIME for a kill in the chest-torso area.

The M-16 Originally made by Armalite but then the rights were bought by Colt made in the USA~ 3 round burst as long as you stay on target is all it takes.
^ The G-11 is the same as the M-16 just a different design and produced in Germany..And a different round than the M-16..

The FN-FAL made in Belgium~ Take 2 rounds for a guaranteed kill in the chest-torso area.

The Steyr AUG made in Austria~ 3 rounds in the chest torso area is a kill and consistent every time.

The FAMAS made in France~ took about 2-3 rounds to kill in the chest torso area. Very similar to the UMP-45 from MW2 too me.

The Ak-47 made in Russia-Soviet Union~ Takes 4-5 rounds in the chest torso area to kill someone.. Arguably the best Assault rifle ever built...

The Enfield really it's called the SA80 made in England~ 3 rounds in the chest torso area consistently 3 rounds to kill. Also another Variant off the Lee-Enfield bolt action rifle used in WW2 much like the Garand to the M-14 to the M-16 to the M-4 pretty much a repeat but in England...
Well this is all of them hope you enjoyed if you I could improve I would be happy to hear complaints/thoughts/ideas always ope to criticism... Weird how the argubaly best 2 assault rifles took the most shots to kill!? What was Treyarch thinking? ParkerD out

It definitely seems awkward that some of the ARs don't do as much damage as another of the same kind of RoF or fire type, did you take distance into account?

Also looking over the country of origin of these ARs, it looks like the ones that take less rounds for a kill are American weapons, except for the Galil (which is pretty much American if you allow me to get a bit political here). On the other hand, the AK is the one that takes most for a kill and it's a Russian firearm. Maybe someone at Activision still thinks the Cold War is going on.

Yeah maybe and I killed atleast 10-15 people with each gun and att nuketown your bound to shoot someone at the same distance.. The 5.56 round shot out of the AR is about the same size as the AK 7.62x39... Oh also if Iever meet any TreyArch members made this game I'm going to tell them off seriously! The FA MAS wasn't evenin service till 1978 and the Steyr entering a year before 1977.. Also based off shooting these would you think that the Stoner 63 is the same bullet as the Commando!? They're believe it or not they even have almost the same firing mechanism as the Commando.... Ughhh why wouldn't Treyarch just add the M240 Bravo? IT's been being used in the US military since 1982? Then they should add the Barret M82 over the PSG1 cause I can't stand that gun! Maybe I should make my own video gun!? hahah

The Stoner 63 system, Colt Commando, M-16, SA80, AUG, Galil and FAMAS all use the same 5.56mm NATO round, which is considerably smaller than the 7.62mm Short that the AK fires, in both diameter and weight (55 grains vs 122 grains).

The M14 and FN FAL use the 7.62mm NATO round, which although is the same diameter is slightly heavier (150 grains) and uses a significantly larger powder charge than the AK's 7.62mm Short.

Finally, the SVD uses the 7.62mm Long, which is slightly heavier than the 7.62mm NATO and likewise uses a larger powder charge than the 7.62mm Short.

I would expect comparable damage from the larger cartridges, and for it to be in excess of that of the smaller two rounds (which it can be argued endlessly over which is superior).
This is the AK-47 Assault Rifle, the preferred weapon of the enemy and it makes a distinctive sound when fired at you, so remember it!

The Famas is one of my favorite weapons, it excels in close and medium range. But I've always loved the AK-47, it's amazing at medium to semi-long range, but you can sometimes draw the short stick at close range as the fire rate will bite you in the rear

Let's make this civilian round types The first row shoots a .223.. The second row shoots .308 or 30-06 I get confused when it get's into the 7.62 and 7.62x39 which is what the AK fires... SVD is spot on with what you said...Correct me if I'm wrong but off the top of my head the M14 and the FN FAL is 7.62x51=.308 right??? And the Dragunov is a 7.62x54? which is a lengthened .308 round.....

Yes, first row is .223 Remington (OK, there are some technical differences but that's not really important here), second is .308 Winchester. The .30-06 gets left behind in COD World at War.

The Soviet ammo is 7.62mm x 39mm for the AK- 47 and 7.62mm x 54mm for the SVD. And 5.45mm for the AK-74.
